September 29, 2017--Invesco (NYSE: IVZ), a leading global provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), announced today that it will close and liquidate the following four ETFs in December 2017:
PowerShares Contrarian Opportunities Portfolio (NYSE Arca: CNTR)

Bats Welcomes New PowerShares Fund To The Bats ETF Marketplace
September 29, 2017--Bats, a CBOE Holdings, Inc. company, and a leading market for exchange-traded product (ETP) trading globally, today welcomed a new PowerShares PureBeta fund to the Bats ETF Marketplace.
The launch brings the total number of PowerShares funds listed on the Bats ETF Marketplace to 16.
The PowerShares PureBeta US Aggregate Bond Portfolio fund (Bats: PBND) seeks to track the investment results of The BofA Merrill Lynch US Broad Market Index. It follows five PowerShares PureBeta Funds that launched on the Bats ETF Marketplace last week.

Deutsche Asset Management's US ETFs Renamed to Xtrackers in Line with Global Product Line
September 29, 2017--Deutsche Asset Management (Deutsche AM) today announced the renaming of its US exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to Xtrackers to harmonize the fund names with the change previously announced for European and Asian ETFs and exchange-traded commodities (ETCs).
Deutsche X-trackers will be replaced with "Xtrackers" to further align with Deutsche AM's other index trackers. The US suite of ETFs, with more than $12.5 billion in AUM (as of August 31, 2017) in 35 ETFs, provides unique investment opportunities to clients through products offering access to brand new marketplaces, funds that seek better risk-adjusted returns, and products that provide the potential ability to benefit from further efficiencies in the market.

September 29, 2017--Agency seeing many infractions involving distributed ledger technology; third-party advisor exams not front of mind, SEC's Clayton said

Renaissance Capital-3Q17 US IPO Review
September 29, 2017--IPO Market Enters Fourth Quarter with the Wind at its Back
The US IPO market saw 29 IPOs raise $4.1 billion in the third quarter, a drop from the prior year period. Small-cap health care companies, mostly biotechs, made up almost half of all IPOs.
Technology IPOs fell by 70%. Private equity brought few large offerings, and quarterly proceeds settled to the lowest level in six quarters. While activity was low, returns were extraordinarily high, as the average deal gained 36%. After a slow summer, the quarter gained momentum post-Labor Day. Almost half of the 29 IPOs came in the final two weeks of the quarter. In stark contrast to the 2Q17 that ended with two high-profile tech flops, the 3Q ended with TV streaming platform Roku rocketing 100%, confirming there is still demand for high-growth tech stocks.
