(All dollar values in USD unless otherwise noted.)
Highlights
Assets invested in ETFs/ETPs listed in Middle East and Africa decreased by 0.57% during June 2018 to reach $36.4 Bn.
Year-to-date, assets have decreased by 8.76% from $39.9 Bn at the end of 2017.

Saudi Tadawul to begin trading on $925mln government debt instruments
July 30, 2018-- The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) will list and start trading on government debt instruments with a combined value of SAR 3.47 billion ($925 million).
The debt instruments are distributed on three tranches.

MIDEAST STOCKS-Saudi falls slightly after oil tanker attack, rest of Gulf mixed

Saudi stock exchange added to S&P DJI indexes
July 26, 2018--The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) is pleased to announce today that S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI), a leading provider of global equity indexes, upgraded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to "Emerging Market" from its previous "Standalone Market" country classification.
The move by S&P DJI follows the recent decisions by MSCI and FTSE Russell to add Saudi Arabia to their respective emerging market indexes. The Kingdom will become eligible for inclusion in certain S&P DJI's global benchmark index families in two phases concurring with the March 2019 quarterly rebalancing and the September 2019 annual reconstitution.

MIDEAST STOCKS-Banks drag down Saudi, Qatar stock markets
July 25, 2018--Banking shares slipped in Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Wednesday as investors digested a mixed bag of results.
Banque Saudi Fransi, which reported lower second quarter earnings on Tuesday, was down 4.1 percent.

S&P Dow Jones to upgrade Saudi stocks to emerging market next year

TASE-Launched this morning-the Tel Bond-Dollar Index
July 8, 2018--The Index is Comprised of Dollar-Linked Corporate Bonds Listed on TASE
Today (July 8th, 2018), a new corporate bonds index was launched-the "Tel Bond-Dollar Index". The index consists of dollar-linked corporate bonds listed on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange ("TASE").
Following the launch of the new index, TASE will be calculating 29 Tel Bond indices, 10 of which were launched in 2017 and 6 of which were launched since the beginning of 2018.
The new index was formulated by TASE to expand and diversify the products traded on TASE. In light of the fact that the yield on dollar-linked corporate bonds is higher than the yield on CPI-linked and shekel bonds, the launch of products that will track the Tel Bond-Dollar index which based on highly-rated dollar-linked bonds listed on TASE, is likely to be attractive for investors. Major Investors expects high demand for the lucrative index.
