Abu Dhabi blue chips advance in lockstep
May 12, 2014--Like the Dubai equity index DFMGI, the Abu Dhabi equity index ADXGI regained territory on Monday, May 12, closing 0.38 per cent higher at 5,007.14 points.
Eshraq Properties was the most liquid share, ending 3.26 per cent higher at AED1.90. Dana Gas gained 3.53 per cent and Aldar Properties surged by 3.87 per cent.

Qatar bourse says to list first exchange-traded funds
May 11, 2014--Qatar's bourse plans to list its first exchange-traded funds (ETFs) this year and these will be much larger than ETFs listed elsewhere in the Gulf, the stock exchange said on Sunday.
The launch of the two funds, which the exchange said would provide more diverse investment opportunities, will follow MSCI's upgrade of Qatar, plus the United Arab Emirates, to emerging market status later this month.

May 8, 2014--The Riyadh-based Tadawul All Share index closed 0.43 per cent higher at 9,787.03 points, on Thursday, May 8.
Media reports that the GCC region's first exchange in relation to market capitalisation is examining to go public lifted the gauge. Saudi Basic Industries (SABIC), the exchange's bellwether, added 0.71 per cent to reach SAR119.

Waha Capital, Taqa lead Abu Dhabi bourse higher
May 8, 2014--In Abu Dhabi, the equity market index (ADXGI) gained 0.36 per cent to reach 5,045.01 points on Thursday, May 8.
Year to date, the gauge has risen by 17.6 per cent. Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) advanced the most (up by 5.83 per cent), followed by Waha Captial that surged by 5.70 per cent.
