July 17, 2014--The Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) Market index lost slightly to close at 7,097.04 points on Thursday, July 17.
IFA Hotels and Resorts jumped 11.24 per cent to hit KD0.198. Zima Holding dived 22.66 per cent, finishing at KD0.099.

UAE bourses merger shelved as terms not agreed: sources
July 10, 2014--A planned merger of the Dubai Financial Market DFM.DU and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has been shelved for the foreseeable future as terms for the politically sensitive move could not be agreed, sources told Reuters on Thursday.
Having been mooted for a number of years, a merger of the DFM and the ADX seemed to take an important step closer last year as investment banks were hired to advise on a tie-up-a move revealed by Reuters last October

Abu Dhabi market advances slightly
July 10, 2014--The ADX General Index gained 0.62 per cent to close at 4,847.14 points on Thursday, July 10.
Like at the DFM in Dubai,, market breadth was neutral. ABNIC gained the most (up by 14.91 per cent to AED4.70), while United Arab Bank hit a limit down, ending 10 per cent lower at AED6.30.

Dubai blue chips head northwards again
