January 14, 2015--The ADX general index fell by 0.10 per cent to 4,506.32 points on Wednesday, January 14, ahead of the earnings season.
"In January markets should shift their focus from oil prices to earnings and dividend announcements," said Arjuna Mahendran, the chief investment officer wealth management at the UAE's biggest lender Emirates NBD.

TAQA soars at Abu Dhabi bourse, Etisalat slightly higher
January 13, 2015--The ADX general index rebounded by 1.36 per cent Tuesday, January 13, finishing at 4,510.06 points although oil prices dropped further.
Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, better known as TAQA (Arabic for energy) surged five per cent to hit AED0.84.
