UK Global Hub for Green Finance, New UNEP Report Says
January 14, 2016--The UK is well-known as a major financial centre, but it is also a global hub in the fast-growing green finance arena, according to a new report released today by the UN Environment Programme's (UNEP) Inquiry into the Design of a Sustainable Financial system.
The report comes as policymakers and financial institutions are focusing on how to mobilize the capital required to implement Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change which were agreed last year.

ETFs provide access to MSCI Factor index family on US stock corporations with currency hedging
January 12, 2016--Three new smart beta ETFs issued by UBS Global Asset Management have been tradable via Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Tuesday, 12 January.
The new UBS factor ETFs enable investors to participate in the performance of companies from the US, which are selected based on one of the following criteria: low volatility, quality and substance. All three UBS ETFs also provide a hedge against EUR currency risk.

January 8, 2016--STOXX Limited, a leading provider of innovative, tradable and global index concepts, today announced the launch of the EURO iSTOXX High Dividend Low Volatility 50 Index, which measures the top 50 stocks in the EURO STOXX Index based on high dividend yield and low volatility.
The index has been licensed to Invesco PowerShares to underlie an exchange-traded fund (ETF) available as of today on London Stock Exchange and will be cross-listed at other European exchanges in the coming months.
