Flow Traders releases September 2017 ETP Market volumes
October 11, 2017-- Flow Traders N.V. ("Flow Traders") (Euronext: FLOW), today releases the monthly ETP (Exchange Traded Products) market data for the month of September 2017. This refers to general market data only.
In September 2017, the total Global ETP Assets under Management (AuM) grew to US$ 4,396bn from US$ 4,297bn in August (+2.3% month-on-month, source: BlackRock ETP Landscape September 2017). That translates into a total Global ETP AuM in euro terms of €3,718bn versus €3,613bn in August 2017, with a EUR/USD FX rate of 1.1822, (rate end September 2017).
The average VIX for the month of September fell to 10.44 (versus 11.95 in August), with a low of 9.51 (versus 9.52 as a low in August) and a high of 12.23 (versus 17.28 in August) (Source: Bloomberg).

Commodities (-€94mn) - Inflows in Broad Commodity (+€263mn), while Gold and Crude Oil based ETPs saw redemptions (-€178mn & -€132mn respectively). Turnover: MoM turnover decreased by 10%
The total turnover activity into European ETPs decreased by 10% where total turnover observed was (€58bn) compared to the last month’s total (€53bn).

ESMA issues Q&As on MiFID II implementation for post-trading issues
October 10, 2017--The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has today issued Question and Answers (Q&As) on post-trading issues regarding the implementation of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) and Regulation (MiFIR).
MiFID II will enter into application on 3 January 2018 and will strengthen the protection of investors by both introducing new requirements and strengthening existing ones.

New BNP Paribas commodity index ETF launched on Xetra
October 10, 2017--A new exchange traded fund issued by BNP Paribas Easy has been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Tuesday.
The commodity index ETF offers investors the opportunity to participate in the performance of a diversified portfolio of futures contracts on commodities from the two sectors energy and metals.
An optimised roll mechanism is used to minimise any potential losses and maximise any potential gains resulting from replacing maturing futures with those of longer maturities

Tradeweb European Exchange-Traded Funds Update-September 2017
October 9, 2017--The following data is derived from trading activity on the Tradeweb European-listed ETF platform.
ETF total traded volume
Total traded volume on the Tradeweb European ETF marketplace reached €13.2 billion in September, up 12% from August.
The end of September also marked the platform's third best performing quarter since its launch in October 2012, as Q3 2017 activity touched €38.3 billion. Adriano Pace, managing director for equity derivatives at Tradeweb, said: "As the ETF industry is bracing itself for the new regulatory landscape, both our monthly and quarterly numbers evidence the efficiencies of RFQ trading on a regulated platform like the Tradeweb MTF.

22 new ETFs were listed on LSE in September 2017, making a total of 111 new listings year-to-date.
There are now 945 ETFs (available as 1,442 lines through multi-currency offerings) and 439 other ETPs (available as 508 lines) on our London market.

iShares launched 6 fixed income ETFs giving exposure to floating rate bond, EUR and USD denominated corporate bond, high yield corporate bond, global inflation linked government bond and treasury bond.
Lyxor listed the Lyxor SG Japan Quality Income UCITS ETF providing exposure to high quality Japanese stocks based on profitability factors, leverage and operating efficiency.
UBS launched the UBS MSCI Australia UCITS ETF which will invest in large and mid cap stocks within the MSCI Australia index.
