Revamped CPSE ETF by October; EPFO, NPS to park fund
May 21, 2015-The Finance Ministry is planning to launch a revamped and retail investor-friendly CPSE Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) by October in which cash rich EPFO and NPS could park their money along with individual investors.
Another tranche of CPSE ETF would help the government inch towards its Rs 69,500 crore disinvestment target in the current fiscal.

To get EPFO funds listed firms need at least Rs 5,000 crore m-cap
May 18, 2015--To get EPFO funds, listed companies would need to have a minimum market capitalization of Rs 5,000 crore, even as the retirement fund body will invest only the exchange traded funds (ETF) in the current financial year.
According to the new investment pattern notified for investing incremental deposits of EPFO, investment would be in "shares of body corporates listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) or National Stock Exchange (NSE) which have market capitalization of not less than Rs 5,000 crore as on the date of investment".

China's Yuan May Draw $1 Trillion on Getting IMF Reserve Status
May 15, 2015--At least $1 trillion of global reserves will switch into Chinese assets if the International Monetary Fund endorses the yuan as a reserve currency this year, according to Standard Chartered Plc and AXA Investment Managers.
People's Bank of China officials have called for the IMF to include the yuan in its reserve basket--which consists of the dollar, euro, pound and yen--in a review later this year.
