October 18, 2016--A quant heritage
Investors have long followed rules-based approaches to put together investment portfolios.

In fact, quantitative asset management has a heritage of at least eight decades. The merits of a simple, rules-based approach-choosing "value" stocks on the basis of accounting metrics like price to book value or price to earnings ratios-were set out by Benjamin Graham and David Dodd in their seminal book "Security Analysis", published in 1934.
In the 1970s, particularly in the U.S., a new generation of investment analysts started to focus on techniques like momentum trading, statistical arbitrage and portfolio optimization; led by advancements in computer processing, greater access to data and spurred by developments in financial theory.

Bundesbank Disucssion paper-Financial shocks and inflation dynamics

October 17, 2016--1 Introduction

First, in ation expectations were well anchored (Bernanke 2010, Yellen 2013), while the rise in energy prices prevented a fall in long-run in ation expectations (Coibon and Gorodnichenko 2015).

Shaping the Global Agenda on Ageing: Meeting the Needs of Cognitive Decline

October 13, 2016--The world's older adult population-estimated to double to 2 billion by 2050-is a triumph of human development that will generate both economic growth and uncertainty in the decades to come.
